Embracing change at every level has been essential to sustaining learning and impact.

2024 marks the 10th anniversary of Lebanese Alternative Learning—a decade since our small digital learning project began in 2014. Over these ten years, we have grown into a nationwide force for education, expanding the Tabshoura platform, strengthening Lalmoudaress teacher development, and innovating offline solutions. This year, we continued to bring digital learning to more students, support more educators, and ensure uninterrupted access to quality education across Lebanon.

From mentoring by WISE to new collaborations with CLES and innovative projects in environment and digital learning, 2018 was a year of growth for Lebanese Alternative Learning. Continuing Girls Can Count, updating Early Childhood Education and welcoming visits from TIM COOK and MALALA YOUSAFZAI, the year was full of milestones that inspired the team and showcased the impact of our work locally and globally.

2019 was a year of movement for Lebanese Alternative Learning. We launched two new projects, participated in international events and conferences, and received two awards recognizing our work and impact. These moments reflect an organization constantly evolving — learning, adapting, and pushing boundaries.

2020 challenged education systems worldwide. Faced with the pandemic and sudden school closures, we adapted rapidly to ensure learning continuity. This year marked a turning point where innovation, collaboration, and commitment allowed us to respond to urgent educational needs while shaping new pathways for the future.

2022 was a year of steady, deliberate progress for Lebanese Alternative Learning. Through continuous improvement of the Tabshoura platform, the launch of offline solutions, and strengthened support to teachers via Lalmoudaress, the LAL team worked tirelessly to expand access to quality learning. Anchored in long-term partnerships and driven by collaboration, this year reflects how cumulative efforts can lead to meaningful transformation.

2023 challenged us to grow while staying grounded. As we scaled our programs and partnerships, we chose to look openly at our shortcomings and share what we learned from them. By embracing failure as a source of insight rather than stigma, we reinforced humility as a core value and learning as a continuous process.
